New associate would work alongside an integrative oncologist whose primary focus is in treating cancer and chronic disease as well as associate doctor whose primary focus is wellness and disease prevention as well as support to the chronic disease patients. Opportunities for mentorship and training in integrative oncology as well as an expanding non oncologic case load are all available. You would have access to a newly renovated facility which creates a serene, relaxing environment with services including acupuncture, extensive herbal medicine, IV nutrient therapy, high dose IV vitamin C therapy, mistletoe therapy, ozone therapy, and integrative nutrition.Collaboration with specialists to provide nutrition and conventional oncology are also part of our Practice. We specialize in integrative clients only, with no emergency or holiday hours, and our strong relationships with referring general practitioners and specialty centers and emergency hospitals veterinarians allow our focus to remain solely in integrative medicine.

The practice is supported by a practice manager, receptionists, a new client coordinator, three full time technicians and an inventory manager. Our rapidly growing holistic and integrative veterinary practice seeks a motivated, detail oriented, clinical leader to join our special group. Our practice provides integrative treatments such as acupuncture, herbal therapy, nutrition, intravenous therapies, and medical ozone as well as conventional care including blood work, cytology, and laboratory diagnostics. Doctors provide integrative treatments to dogs, cats, avian and exotic as well as companion mammals and reptiles.Veterinary Technician Manager responsibilities include supervising a team of veterinary technicians, providing high-quality care for patients, and overseeing inventory management. 

As an integrative Veterinary Technician Manager, you will:

  • Lead a team of technicians and inventory coordinator, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management.
  • Coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensurethe highest standard of care for all animal patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing support during procedures.Coordinate care between the doctors and technicians in the most efficient manner.
  • Incorporate complementary and alternative therapies into patient care plans, such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, herbal medicine, and nutritional therapy.
  • Develop or revise written, standardized protocols for patient care that provides uniform decision making in handling and caring for patients.
  • Assist doctors with maintaining medical records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
  • Provide compassionate, timely and clear communication with pet owners to ensure they understand and feel confident in their pet's care plan.
  • Continuously expand your own knowledge of integrative medicine and leading training initiatives for the nursing staff in this area.

You have:

  • Communication, time management and organizational skills.
  • Highly advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to plan, organize, make decisions, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to provide compassionate and clear communication with pet owners to ensure they understand and feel confident in their pet's care plan.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once in an environment of changing priorities

Previous experience with holistic or integrative treatments not required, however an open mind and desire to learn is an absolute must.
